EXHIBITION OF ORIGINAL PAINTINGS

Anne Cotterill has been painting for a sole exhibition of Paintings which was held at Thompsons Galleries in Aldeburgh, Suffolk .

of the Fine Art Trade Guild Best-selling Images Poll

We are delighted that Anne Cotterill’s limited edition prints appear in the 2006 survey of top selling images, among those of other artists such as Jack Vettriano.  She is the only floral artist included in the top ten.  The survey in the October issue of Art Business Today finds a return to more traditional images.   Anne Cotterill was also featured in the article Flower Power in the same issue of the magazine which concludes that despite the present trend for stylised, semi-abstract floral images there are still successful classic floral artists that command a strong place in the market.

 A new book, A History and Dictionary of British Flower Painters 1650-1950, by Josephine Walpole includes a detailed analysis of Anne Cotterill’s work and her place within the tradition of British floral art.  The painting “Snowdrops and Catkins” is reproduced on the cover and the colour plates in the editorial feature “Sweet Peas” and “Lilies of the Valley”.  A marvellous, quality book for every floral painting collector.

The May issue of The Artist magazine, last year, was of great interest to Anne Cotterill enthusiasts with its Masterclass article on her painting techniques. The article featured many reproductions of her paintings, including one of her new limited edition prints “Spring Flowers”.

Notecards

The new Notecards published in January this year have been received very well with many second orders from our trade customers.  Anne has painted originals for new miniture notecards which are, in three sets,  Primroses, Fritillaries, Campions, Celandines, Mallows and a new Periwinkles.

Christmas Notecards

Christmas Roses, Winter Jasmine, Holly, and Snowdrops have been painted especially with a wintery feel and are included in a pack of six notecards, printed inside with "Happy Christmas" .

Christmas cards

A Christmas card pack consisting of a selection of autumnal cards printed inside with "Happy Christmas" is available as a seasonal promotion for our trade customers.  The "carriage paid"  will be reduced for orders over £50.00 for the Christmas cards and Notecards only.  Available NOW.
